Accessibility statement
Tikoffi is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities and people using assistive technologies. Our goal is to make every interaction, from browsing coffee to checking out, listing a lot on Tikoffi Ushirika or managing a subscription, as smooth and inclusive as possible.
Measures
We take the following measures to support accessibility:
- Accessibility is included in how we design, build and review new pages and features.
- We test key journeys with keyboard-only navigation, screen readers and browser zoom.
- We use semantic HTML, text alternatives for meaningful images, visible focus indicators and skip links.

- We review the site regularly and fix barriers as they are found.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility. We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The site is partially conformant, which means some content may not yet fully meet the standard. We are actively working to close the gaps listed below.
Known limitations
- Third-party services: payment providers, embedded maps and social media links are provided by third parties and may not fully meet our standards. We choose providers with accessibility in mind and raise issues with them when we find them.
- Uploaded images: farm photos uploaded by growers on Tikoffi Ushirika may not include detailed descriptions.
- Data tables: some wide tables, such as the spot list, require horizontal scrolling on small screens.
- USSD service: the Tikoffi Ushirika USSD service depends on your mobile network and handset.
Compatibility
The site is designed to work with recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, and with screen readers including VoiceOver, NVDA and TalkBack. It is not supported on Internet Explorer.
